Annual Evidence Update on Obesity: 19-23 April 2010

An update of the evidence on this topic from the National Library for Public Health.

The National Library for Public Health will launch the 2010 Annual Evidence Update on childhood obesity from 19 April 2010, focusing on childhood obesity surveillance and preventative public health interventions. The Annual Evidence Update includes a number of key policy documents and guest editorials written by experts, which provide a snapshot of the preventative interventions for childhood obesity and international surveillance activities.

Annual Evidence Update on Obesity: 20-24 April 2009

An update of the evidence on this topic from the National Library for Public Health.

The National Library for Public Health is updating last year's Obesity Annual Evidence Update focussing on the same topic of Childhood Obesity: Surveillance and Prevention. There has been a lot of new evidence published in these areas, especially in regards to prevention in terms of diet, physical activity, and protection due to breast feeding and early childhood health and diet. The National Obesity Observatory have reviewed the evidence and written summaries about what this means for current programmes and schemes such as the National Childhood Measurement Programme.

National Knowledge Week on Childhood Obesity: 28 April - 2 May 2008

An update of the evidence on this topic produced by the National Library for Public Health

The National Library for Public Health is holding its first National Knowledge Week (NKW) and Annual Evidence Update on childhood obesity from 28th April 2008. The week coincides with the launch of the new public health library.

The NKW has been undertaken with the new National Obesity Observatory. Focusing on childhood obesity surveillance and preventative public health interventions, the knowledge week includes an evidence update to the NICE guidance of 2006 and key policy documents. There are also number of guest editorials written by experts, which provide a snapshot summary of preventative interventions for childhood obesity and international surveillance activities.
