Appointment of a chair for the NLH Programme Board

Dr Stephen Singleton, Medical Director of Northumberland Tyne and Wear Strategic Health Authority, has agreed to chair the National Library for Health Programme Board.

User needs study - pilots underway

Pilots for the user needs study got underway this week, with researchers from TFPL visiting a trust in Birmingham. More visits are planned over the next few weeks. An update will be published after the pilots, summarising the outcomes and next steps.

NLH search goes live

The National Library for Health single search engine (SSE) is now live and available. This is the first phase of the National Library for Health (NLH) website and work is now beginning on phase 2.

Phase 2 will focus on implementing recommendations made during the testing period, connecting additional resources (including locally purchased resources) and the localisation and personalisation of the NLH site. Some consultation work has taken place, led by the LKDN Informatics, and further consultation will take place.
