FOLIO module on the business of clinical care

Registration is now open for the NLH FOLIO Course: Understanding the Business of Clinical Care.

This course will cover the main information needs of staff delivering clinical care. It is particularly suitable for those with a clinical librarian role but will be of value to anyone who wants to extend their knowledge beyond their library walls to the actual work done by our main clinical users. The course will examine the role of information in clinical decision-making and the part that patient values play in the clinical encounter. It will look at information needs associated with diagnosis, treatment, prevention, aetiology and prognosis. It will also examine whether librarians need to be clinically trained and will look at the importance of understanding medical terminology.

If you wish to register (UK only - 50 places available) please visit http://www.nelh.nhs.uk/folio/register10.doc.
