The fourth Annual Evidence Update on CAM for Low Back Pain will be published on 13 December. This update aims to present a comprehensive collection of up-to-date information that has been subject to rigorous selection criteria. We have carried out searches in a number of databases, covering the period from September 2009 to October 2010. The update includes a list of systematic reviews, meta-analyses and selected randomised controlled trials, along with commentaries from experts.

This is the third Annual Evidence Update on CAM for Depression. This update aims to identify, organise and present the latest information on this topic. We have searched a large number of databases for studies published or updated since the 2009 update.This AEU presents the evidence on specific therapies and approaches such as acupuncture, diet and nutrition, herbal medicine, massage, meditation and mindfulness, and yoga.

The NHS Evidence - complementary and alternative medicine specialist collection will present an Annual Evidence Update (AEU) on Homeopathy from 14 June. This update will provide a summary of systematic reviews, meta-analyses, RCTs and other relevant studies published in the twelve months since the 2009 AEU on Homeopathy.

We have carried out a comprehensive search of a number of databases and used strict selection criteria for the identified studies, in order to base the annual update on the best current evidence available. This update will include a list of relevant systematic reviews published between March 2008 and March 2009 and an expert commentary.

The Annual Evidence Update on CAM for low back pain aims to present a comprehensive collection of up-to-date information that has been subject to rigorous selection criteria. We have carried out searches in a number of databases, covering the period from June 2007 to July 2008. A list of the relevant guidelines, systematic reviews, meta-analyses and randomised controlled trials, along with commentary from experts, will be available on the Library’s website from 29th September.

The 2008 evidence update on CAM for asthma aims to identify, organise and present the latest information on this topic. We have searched a large number of databases for studies published or updated since January 2006. The update includes a summary of recent research on complementary and alternative medicine use in asthma in the UK and selected systematic reviews on acupuncture, breathing techniques, dietary and nutritional therapies, herbal medicine, homeopathy and relaxation techniques.
