Annual Evidence Update on Epilepsy: 18-22 May 2009
An update of the evidence on this topic from NHS Evidence – neurological conditions.
The NHS Evidence - neurological conditions specialist collection is launching its second Annual Evidence Update on Epilepsy on Monday 18th May, to coincide with National Epilepsy Awareness Week. The Project Team has carried out a systematic literature search on epilepsy to identify all high level evidence published since the date of the last Epilepsy Annual Evidence Update in 2007, including guidelines, systematic reviews, health technology assessments and economic evaluations. Leading epilepsy experts from around the UK have read and appraised these for their validity and relevance to the busy clinician. A list of the papers deemed worthy of inclusion, along with expert commentaries by our reviewers, will be freely available on the site from 18th May. This year we have also begun to identify uncertainties in research to contribute to the UK DUETs project (see www.library.nhs.uk/duets for more details).
