CHAIN for Innovation & Improvement

In general we have been very pleased at the results of our efforts to establish the new CHAIN for Innovation & Improvement nearly 400 people have now joined since we began recruiting less than 2 months ago). However we are aware of the fact that we have so far attracted only a handful of librarians to the new network. This is disappointing, not only because the new network would benefit from the involvement of librarians, but also because as you be aware, librarians are knowledge-brokers, and highly effective disseminators. This means that the involvement of more librarians in CHAIN 3 would be likely to stimulate the inclusion of a wider range of people in the network - something we would regard as being very healthy.

We therefore wondered if you could advise us if there is a network, organisation and/or newsletter (on-line or hard copy) which might provide us with a route to reaching librarians in the NHS and social care family of organisations? If possible and appropriate, we would like to use any such organs as a means of reaching librarians who are not already members of CHAINs 1 or 2.

It goes without saying that we would also be very pleased if you would like to join CHAIN 3 (if you have not already done so). The new network supported by the NHS Institute for Innovation & Improvement, and of course membership is free of charge.
